About Easter Seal
Easter Seals
is all about self-confidence, independence, recreation and opportunities
for children with disabilities. Proceeds from the 24 Hour Relay
specifically support kids in three Easter Seal programs in Saskatchewan:
Camp Easter Seal
is a wheelchair accessible recreational camp located at Manitou
Beach near Watrous, SK. Since 1954, Camp Easter Seal has been creating
summer memories for many children with disabilities. Campers participate
in a variety of activities including horseback riding, swimming,
rustic camping, boating and more. Camp Easter Seal is an ideal way
for children with disabilities to meet new friends, develop new
skills and enjoy a one-week camping vacation.
The Summer Fun program
is an urban day-camp program for children and youth with disabilities.
The program provides participants the opportunity to gain new experiences,
and enjoy safe and challenging outings within the community.
Adaptive Technology
Services is a program that applies advanced technology to
assist children with disabilities in their daily lives. With the
use of specialized technology, children can gain access to education,
or those who are unable to speak can communicate with friends or
family.
