The fully functional base St Solo CMS includes Web site design, the What’s New module and Web Stats. The easy-to-use navigation system and user friendly administration of the St Solo CMS allows you, the owner, to add, edit and delete all images and text and add your videos without needing to know HTML. You are able to add and subtract navigational sub pages within the site and update your Search Engine Optimization (SEO) friendly title, description and keyword meta tags too. This is accomplished using our fully featured WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) text editor. The features and functionality of this editor are very familiar to applications you use in your day-to-day transactions such as Microsoft Word. There is no need to download any software to your computers—you simply log in and start working. You have the ability to make changes to your site from any mac or pc computer that has Internet connection. It is optimal to use Internet Explorer simply because our editor uses the spell checking utility from that browser but our CMS admin interface works fine using Firefox, Safari or any mainstream, modern browser. The St Solo CMS is built based on a modular platform. When you purchase a base CMS any and all current and future modules are simply added to the base. Compatibility Your site is tested to look and function properly on the vast majority of personal computers. Using four operating systems and six Web browsers we support the software used by approximately 99.9 percent of all Internet users. You can rest assured that your audience sees your message as you intended.
Internet Explorer 6 is a legacy browser with limited support for modern browser technologies. While we currently support Internet Explorer 6, we recommend that those still using it upgrade to a newer browser like Firefox or Internet Explorer 8. Our servers meet all federal privacy and security policy criteria and are inspected yearly. We do backups M/W/F, weekly, and monthly. Should any problems arise you can readily access your information or we can quickly restore your site to get you up and running. Your hosting includes unlimited email addresses as well as advanced webmail access and 24/7 real-time support and monitoring. Our servers have a 99.995% uptime, are locally hosted, and you have unlimited uploads and downloads. Training The CMS is quite easy to use. We have a St Solo client's only help site and we create a specific quickstart help manuals for you to get you started. We encourage you to review these items to familiarize yourselves with the application. We include up to four hours of training to make sure you are comfortable with the administration of your site and a built-in trouble ticket system for questions you may have as they come up. included Optional Data Transfer The CMS is designed for the content to be populated and updated by you, our client. The base design and development of your new site does not include content population of the site. That said, we can get the new site populated for you so you have a great base to start from when you take it over. Some clients want us to do it, some want to do it themselves to fully immerse themselves in the CMS application in order to understand it fully and learn it before the site is live to the public. This, of course, is entirely up to you. If you wish us to do the initial population, we will provide you with a separate quote which will be based on the content of the current site. $85.00/hour Scope of Services and Development Design St Solo has two full-time designers in-house. One of them will be assigned to your site development and will work closely with you to ensure you get exactly the look and feel you desire. We will have a pre-production meeting where you can show us what you like and don’t like. We’ll take your ideas and work them into a Web design specifically for you. In-house, the designers will work collaboratively to produce a world-class design for you. “Wow factor” is their specialty! Design is included in the price of the base CMS. Programming Ability Our technical abilities can best be observed by viewing our portfolio. St Solo is proud to have been involved in the development and/or design of all sites listed and many others. Our experience allows us to communicate technical information in layman’s terms, as well as to anticipate and solve potential problems before they pop up. Adherence to deadlines is a critical component of our success. St Solo programmers are familiar with many programming and database languages; DHtml, Cold Fusion and Flash, MySQL and php. The St Solo CMS is programmed using Cold Fusion and MySQL. Cold Fusion and MySQL are not proprietary languages. Although we recommend that you host with us as we have immediate access to our servers and do not have to rely on any third party for service, any hosting company that provides Cold Fusion and MySQL compatible servers can host our CMS. As mentioned in the opening letter, you own your site. You can move the St Solo CMS to any host you choose, as long as those servers support Cold Fusion and MySQL and a number of non-proprietary, readily available Cold Fusion tags. We will compile your Web site to be moved to any server and you will be able to display and use your CMS without having to buy out any licensing, etc. St Solo retains the ownership of the human-readable code that is the base of the CMS, but all the content and functionality is yours, and will always be.
