Saskatchewan's
complete solution for building the highest quality new homes.
R-2000
is a standard for the construction of a superior new home
and a process to help you to this higher standard. R-2000
is the benchmark for healthiness, environmental impact and
energy efficiency.
Because we do not live in a perfect world, we need to set
rules and standards. The hard part is deciding what standard
do we set and build to. All of the following need to be considered:
Where do we draw the line between what is minimally acceptable
and what is optimum and cost effective? Should it be left
to the builder? Should we rely on the National Building Code
of Canada (1995) which sets the minimum standards for building
a house allowed by law? Or rely on local building inspectors
who are only required to enforce building code minimum requirements?
Simply stated, R-2000 is:
- a better way of building new homes;
- higher building standard that goes beyond the building
code's minimum requirements, and;
- a process which helps you get there.
Building a new home is an exciting endeavour but often a
very complex and confusing procedure. It requires thousands
of steps by dozens of industries to bring together all the
components and subsystems required to build a house.
R-2000 Homes are skillfully designed,
built with care and attention to detail, and independently
inspected and tested to confirm that they have met our rigorous
standard.
